In-Home Services Medicaid Waiver Program

In-Home Services help support frail senior citizens, caregivers, and disabled adults under three different programs:
In-Home Services may include help with personal care, homemaking, respite, Adult day care, companion services, emergency response systems, or other equipment.

Through an intake process that can be done over the phone, case managers will assess individual client needs to determine which services they may be eligible to receive.

To be eligible to receive services under the Medicaid Aging Waiver Program one must:
  • Be age 65 or older
  • Have frailty level that meets nursing home admission guidelines
  • Be eligible for Medicaid: asset limit of $2000 excluding primary residence and one vehicle (there are spousal impoverished guidelines for married individuals)

Please Note:

  • Frailty level (Nursing Home level of care) is determined by the Area Agency on Aging based on Nursing Assessment.
  • Medicaid eligibility is determined by the Department of Work Force Services.
